Richard Branson's Virgin Group entrant into cruising, launched in 2021 as a rebellious, boutique-hotel alternative to traditional lines. Its four superyacht-inspired 'Lady' ships are strictly adults-only (18-plus), ditch buffets, formal nights and kids' clubs, and lean into design, wellness, nightlife and a generous list of included extras.
Adults 18 and over — especially millennials and younger Gen X couples, solo travellers and groups of friends who find conventional cruising stuffy. Strong appeal for foodies, design lovers, wellness-minded travellers and the LGBTQ+ community. Not an option for families, since no one under 18 may sail.
A single class of four near-identical 'Lady' ships of about 110,000 gross tons, each carrying roughly 2,770 guests across 17 decks. Scarlet Lady (2021) was the debut ship, followed by Valiant Lady (2022), Resilient Lady (2023) and Brilliant Lady (2025), the newest and the first configured for Alaska and Panama Canal sailings.

More than 20 sit-down restaurants are included in the fare, with no buffet and no traditional main dining room. Standouts include Test Kitchen (experimental tasting menus), Razzle Dazzle (playful 'naughty or nice' vegetarian-forward menu and a resident drag brunch), The Wake (steak and seafood), Pink Agave (Mexican), Gunbae (Korean BBQ), Extra Virgin (Italian) and The Galley food hall.
Nightlife is a defining feature: The Manor nightclub, immersive festival-style shows, karaoke rooms, a vinyl record shop and the ship-wide Scarlet Night deck party. Valiant Lady adds the boundary-pushing House of Yes performance collective, and entertainment is designed to feel spontaneous and club-like rather than theater-based.
Adults-only across the entire fleet — guests must be 18 or older, so there are no children's clubs, family cabins or youth facilities.
Wi-Fi and all onboard dining are included in the fare, along with soft drinks, drip coffee, tea and group fitness classes; alcohol and premium drinks are extra. Daily gratuities, long promoted as an included perk, became a separate charge (around $20-22 per person per night) in late 2025.
