Cunard is a heritage British line built on White Star Service, ocean-liner tradition and a distinctive tiered 'Grills' class system. A tiered restaurant system defines Cunard: Britannia is the main multi-deck dining room, while the exclusive Princess Grill and Queens Grill restaurants serve guests booked in Grills suites, with a la carte menus and reserved tables. Afternoon tea in the Queens Room and specialty venues round out the offering.
Traditional and refined: black-tie gala nights (two or three per week with a live orchestra), ballroom dancing in the largest ballroom at sea, the Royal Court Theatre, enrichment lectures, and on Queen Mary 2 the only planetarium at sea.
Cunard carries children and offers supervised kids' clubs (The Play Zone for under-7s and The Zone for older children) with certified staff, but the overall tone is adult, traditional and formal rather than family-focused.
