Mass-Market Freestyle Cruising - relaxed flexibility, no fixed schedules

Norwegian built its identity on 'Freestyle Cruising': no fixed dining times, no assigned seating and no formal dress codes, aimed at travellers who want mass-market variety with more flexibility. The recent Prima class has pushed the line in a more upscale, design-forward direction.

Who Norwegian Cruise Line is for

Independent-minded couples, families and solo travellers who value flexibility over structure and want to dine and dress on their own schedule. The Haven suite complex also draws guests wanting a private, premium 'ship-within-a-ship' on an otherwise mainstream line.

Behind them sit the Breakaway Plus class (Bliss, Encore, Joy), the Breakaway class (Escape, Breakaway, Getaway), Norwegian Epic, older Jewel, Dawn and Sun-class ships, and the U.S.-flagged Pride of America in Hawaii.

Broadway-scale shows are a strength - productions have included Six, Jersey Boys and Kinky Boots - alongside concerts, comedy and the Beatles-tribute Cavern Club.
