Expedition All-inclusive luxury yacht-expeditions, from Antarctica to the Med

Atlas is a young (launched 2021) accessible-luxury expedition line built around small, yacht-style ships. It splits its year between true polar expeditions (Antarctica, the Arctic) and 'epicurean' warm-weather sailings in Europe and the Mediterranean, positioning itself as a more attainable, all-inclusive alternative to ultra-luxury expedition brands.

Who Atlas Ocean Voyages is for

Travellers who want a genuine expedition experience (zodiacs, kayaks, naturalist-led landings) with luxury comfort and a mostly hassle-free all-inclusive price, plus food-focused cruisers drawn to the epicurean sailings. It is not aimed at families or at guests wanting big-ship amenities, casinos or production entertainment.

The fleet

A fleet of near-identical 'World-class' yachts built at Portugal's WestSea shipyard, each roughly 9,900-10,000 gross tons carrying about 196-198 guests across six passenger decks. All have Polar Category C / Ice Class 1B ice-strengthened hulls and a 1940s art-deco-inspired aesthetic. The fleet includes World Navigator (2021), World Traveller (2022), World Voyager and World Discoverer, with additional sisters extending the class.

  • water-sports marina for warm-water swimming
  • SeaSpa by L'Occitane (first spa at sea to use only L'Occitane products) with panoramic sea-view sauna

The onboard experience

Dining

Michelin-inspired, multi-venue dining that is notably elevated for an expedition ship, with menus, presentation and premium wine included; the open-air Alma Alfresco concept serves traditional Portuguese dishes clay-pot-roasted with wine pairings. Epicurean Expeditions add a visiting celebrity chef or vintner hosting tastings and events.

Entertainment & activities

Low-key and enrichment-led rather than show-driven: expedition-team lectures, naturalist briefings and destination talks, plus intimate lounge and bar spaces rather than theatres or casinos.

Families & kids

Adult-oriented; there is no dedicated children's programming or kids' club, and the experience skews toward couples and solo adventurers.

What's included

Extensively all-inclusive ('All Inclusive All the Way'): premium wines, spirits and beers, coffees and smoothies, Wi-Fi, prepaid gratuities, L'Occitane bath amenities, one included shore excursion at every port, and emergency medical-evacuation coverage. Expedition sailings add round-trip or one-way charter flights and a pre-cruise hotel night; drinks and standard excursions are already covered rather than extra.
